So after searching a while I stumbled upon a tutorial on how to play the Metroid Prime Trilogy with mouse and keyboard as well as improved graphics using PrimeHack (a fork of Dolphin), and at the same time I saw a video of Beardo Benjo playing some GameCube games in 3D using vorpX and Dolphin (but in virtual 3D cinema mode). Then you get to play PC games at the highest settings that can be played on the monitor downstairs or gaming HDTV upstairs, have a fast general purpose PC and have the possibility of VR. Prime VR (formerly known as Metroid Prime VR) is a recreation of parts of Metroid Prime for virtual reality platforms developed by Spanish developer YonicStudios from 2018 to 2019, serving as a culminating demonstration of a student research project about adapting first-person shooter games for VR.
